Phantoms RFC are proud to announce that our new Official Club Sponsor for the remainder of the 2009 – 10 season is 3B Software. The signing of this agreement brings to an end the uncertainty regarding the financial support of the club suffered since our former sponsors the Slug & Lettuce removed their backing in August of this year. The agreement will see the 3B Software logo appear on the Phantoms RFC website, (www.phantomsrfc.com), within the Phantoms RFC Monthly Magazine and also on the game jerseys and matchday polo shirts worn by the players and coaches of the club.

3B Software (www.3b-software.co.uk), an East London-based software company, is headed by Liviu Tudor, a player for the Phantoms who has been with the club for three years. 3B Software were formed earlier this year and which is aiming to deliver free open source software solutions for the hotel industry, Mr. Tudor declared after the signing of the sponsorship contract: “It is an honour for me to be able to support the Phantoms in their efforts in Essex Division 2 – I have been playing with the club for 3 years now and I learned from this club that giving up is not an option: if you keep trying and doing your best results will come. I am applying this philosophy in running 3B Software, where we strive to deliver high standards software solutions. I wish Phantoms all the best in this season and I’m looking forward to see them on and off the pitch in their kit now emblazoned with a 3B Software logo”.

David Yems, Chairman of Phantoms RFC announced: “The signing of this deal means that we can again start to look to the future of the club on the field knowing the financial support of the club off the field is secure and in place. Of course I am very aware of Liviu, having been able to call him a teammate for three years. One thing that always struck me about him was how he grasped the ethos and philosophy of the Phantoms from the moment he joined the club. To now have him and 3B Software supporting the team financially is very pleasing as we know it will be backing that comes with the very best intentions of the team at heart.”

Notes:

1. Phantoms RFC are a rugby union club based in West Ham. Formed in 2000 as a social outlet for employees of the Financial Ombudsman Service and subsequently run under the umbrella of East London RFC, they are now a club in their own right currently playing in their second league season in the RFU structure.
2. 3B Software is a software company formed in 2009 based in East London which aims to offer free open source software solutions to the hotel industry
3. David Yems is the Chairman and Captain of Phantoms RFC. David became Captain in 2006 and was voted to the post of Chairman in 2009. David has played for Phantoms RFC since 2003.
4. Liviu Tudor is the CEO of 3B Software. Liviu is also member of Phantoms RFC. Liviu joined the club in 2006 and plays in the positions of Lock and Flanker.
